Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention

The mission of the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention Program is to provide excellence in clinical care, education, advocacy, and research to advance the health of injured children and their families. The Trauma Program is dedicated to reducing the burden of pediatric trauma through effective injury presentation programs in communities both statewide and nationally. We believe that most unintentional injuries are preventable. While bumps and scrapes in children are a part of learning and growing, our goal is to reduce preventable injuries by improving resources, education, and legislation to reflect what we’ve learned about injury in the last few decades.
